Our story

From the Willamette Valley to Central Oregon

We both grew up in the Willamette Valley, surrounded by farms and the kind of fresh food that comes with them.

A few years ago, we started paying closer attention to how we eat. We were working on our weight and our overall health, and that's when we discovered microgreens. It was love at first bite. These tiny greens pack big flavor, bright color, and real nutrition into every handful, and they made eating well feel like a treat instead of a chore.

When we moved to Central Oregon, we hit a snag: we couldn't find fresh microgreens anywhere close to home. So we did what Oregonians do. We started growing our own.

What began as a few trays for our own kitchen quickly became a passion. Every harvest, we found ourselves wanting to share. That's how Table Fresh Farms was born.

Today, we grow fresh microgreens right here in Central Oregon for our neighbors in Prineville, Powell Butte, Redmond, and Bend. Our mission is simple: share what we've learned about eating well, and make fresh, local microgreens available to anyone who wants them.

From our table to yours.

Microgreens 101

Small greens, big flavor

Microgreens are young vegetable and herb plants, harvested about one to two weeks after they sprout, when their first leaves open.

What they are

Baby plants, cut fresh

We grow them in trays of soil under lights and cut them just above the soil line. You eat the stem and the first tender leaves.

Not sprouts

Grown in soil and light

Sprouts are germinated seeds eaten whole, root and all, often grown in water. Microgreens grow longer, in soil and light, and only the greens are harvested.

Storing them

Keep them cold and dry

Store in their container in the fridge. Rinse just before eating, not before storing, and enjoy within about a week.

Using them

Add a handful to anything

Top eggs, sandwiches, tacos, soups, pizza and salads, or blend into a smoothie. They're best raw or added at the very end of cooking.

New: living trays

Cut them yourself, right when you're ready

Want them even fresher? Choose living trays. We deliver your greens still growing in a small 5x5 tray, a day or two before peak. Keep it on a bright windowsill, add a little water to the bottom tray every other day, and snip what you need, when you need it.

Each tray comes with a care card and a "harvest by" date. Trays carry a small refundable deposit: leave the empties on your porch, emptied and rinsed, and we swap them on your next delivery. We're starting with a limited number of households, so add living trays to your reservation below.
